Power to Heal, Power to Thrill – Photography

Recently, I posted the photo below along with a quote on my Facebook page.

To me, photography is the art of observation. It's about finding something interesting in an ordinary place... I've found it has little to do with the things you see and everything to do with the way you see them. — Elliott Erwitt
The old rustic building and car caught my eyes as I walked down the Malecon Historic District in Mazatlan, Mexico. I love how the red of the aging storefront coordinated so well with the red Volkswagen bug car. It makes me wonder if the car is older than the store.
Larry Czerwonka recently posted this comment on my Facebook post, “Life too is all about the way you see things … maybe that is why most photographers so enjoy life!”
Yes! I love photographing and sharing my pictures with all my friends on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. Sometimes, I think we all get lost in our journeys. I am extremely happy when I get to capture that magical image.

I found a few quotes to match with some of my favorite photos I’ve photographed this past year along with some wonderful memories.
Larry Czerwonka snapped the shot below of the palm trees and rainbow. It encompasses three of my favorite things: Hawaii, palm trees, and rainbows. I just had to include his photo in this post.
I take photographs with l♥ve, so I try to make them art objects. But I make them for myself first and foremost - that is important. — J.H.Lartigue
There is only you and your camera. The limitations in your photography are in yourself, for what we see is what we are. ― Ernst Haas
I love the medium of photography, for with its unique realism it gives me the power to go beyond conventional ways of seeing and understanding and say, "This is real, too." ― Wynn Bullock
There are always two people in every picture: the photographer and the viewer. ― Ansel Adams
I cherish that each photo tells a story of our lives and each individual’s journey. We live in such amazing times today. By using newly available technology, we can capture our daily travels and observations through photographs. These can all act as visual documentation of our life experiences – a diary.
  • Life is like a camera. Just focus on what’s important, develop from the negatives and if things don’t work out, just take another shot. — Unknown
My next goal is to step into the world of video creation. What about you?

    1. Hi Eden,

The rainbow photo was taken by Larry Czerwonka. I remember landing in Hawaii years ago and saw double rainbows. I will have to dig that photo upツ
