Friends Old & New Connect @edgardc for D.C.’s Social Media Week

This past week was Social Media Week in Washington, D.C., and to celebrate, we had our D.C. Happy Hour and discussion:  Build Relationships, Followers Will Come at Edgar Bar & Kitchen hosted by Sean Garner and I, and moderated by Shana Glenzer.

We thoroughly enjoyed the evening, with the @EdgarDC #EdgarSocial tweet-up that reunited old friends and forged new connections.

Sabrina Hare @sabrinascakes designed us a fabulous #socialcake (a title coined by Founder of #blackboard@MichaelChasen, at the event).  The design was a hit with all the guests, as it represented how social media keeps us connected—in cake form.  What’s not to love?

I’d like to thank our guests for sharing the evening with us, as it couldn’t have happened without their amazing input. I’m also pleased to see that our guests were sharing during the Tweet-Up!  Here are some tweets and posts from our event:

For those who weren’t able to make it, I put together a video recap from our live tweet-up.  If you did have to miss our #EdgarSocial #SMWWDC tweet-up, don’t worry! You can come and celebrate the nation’s greatest springtime event by joining our cherry blossom contest! Mark your calendar for March 22nd for our next event at @EdgarDC.  We hope to see you there!

  1. It’s fun watching you and Sean doing the talk. It’s great to see also that people are participating on the tweet-up and over on Twitter. I was on Twitter when you guys did the event and I did enjoy the conversation and interaction. Excited to see what you will be doing in the Cherry Blossom Spring event.

    1. Hi Misty,

This was a fun event to work on and share with our social media friends. Looking forward to working on one with you in the future.
