Spring Ahead! DC Cherry Blossom Photo Contest

Celebrate the nation’s greatest springtime event by joining our tweet-up and our photo cherry blossom contest!

Mark your calendar for March 22nd for our next tweet-up at @EdgarDC.  I will be sharing the stage with Marilyn Terrell, chief researcher for National Geographic Traveler magazine who will discuss the importance of research for writing blog posts and how to develop an audience for your blog.

Our talk will be followed by new media attorney Kerry Gorgone, who will be flying in from Florida and landing in DC just prior to our event.   She’s making the trip just for us, and will be sharing her expertise on social media and the law.

Remember:  Tweet panel questions to moderator: @ShanaGlenzer #EdgarDC #VZWBuzz

Of course, our event is held at the start of the most beautiful time of the year in Washington DC— the spring cherry blossoms.   Help us celebrate by entering our DC Cherry Blossom Photo Contest, where you can win a Samsung GALAXY Camera.

The selling point for me is that I can post my photos on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram or Google instantly from my tweet-up events.

To enter:

  • Take a photograph of any one of our striking Washington DC monuments with the cherry blossoms from THIS SEASON.
  • To enter click here and email your photo to [email protected] (make sure to include your Twitter handle in the comment).
  • Only one entry per person.
  • Photos must be posted between March 20th and April 14th.
  • Attendees at the April 26th event will vote to determine the winner.
  • Limit: One Entry per person
  • Winner must be present to win.
  • Post on Twitter.  You must include hashtags #VZWBuzz and #EdgarDC in order to qualify.

The Samsung GALAXY Camera is generously donated by (follow her posts @TheOnlineMom) and #VZWBuzz.  We will announce the winner at our April tweet-up—and yes, you do have to attend to collect the prize!  So if you enter, plan on seeing us in April!

  1. Hello Ann,

Thank you for sharing such amazing pictures entered for this competition.
For me the Obelisk Monument circled with Cherry Blossom was a stunning piece of art, & a worthy winner….

  2. I’m definitely interested in the TweetUp @EdgarDC. Research is crucial to writing blog posts. Excellent subject no matter how many times discussed. Is there a chance the event can be watched live via webinar, Google Hang Out; shot on video for you tube? Good content. Either way, it’s scheduled. Thanks for letting us know.

    1. Hi Wendell,

We will have a recap from the event. However, to get the most of our event, we hope to see you in person 🙂

      Ann
