Where to Stay in Paris: The Best Hotels Arrondissements
I am often asked – besides what’s my favorite travel destination – is “From your travels, what hotels would you recommend?”
Food and Drink
The Ice Cube Bar serves up great food, scrumptious cocktails, and a spectacular view of Paris.
Where to stay in Paris
1. Four Seasons Hotel, George V, Paris
8th Arrondisement: An art-deco landmark built in 1928, Four Seasons Hotel George V is nestled in the Golden Triangle of Paris, just off the historic Champs-Elysees.
6th Arrondissement: L’Hotel is a luxury boutique hotel in Paris, and has been a secret hideaway over the past two centuries. A true delight for all the senses, @lhotel_paris is the smallest 5-Star hotel in the city.
3. Le Narcisse Blanc & Spa
7th Arrondissement: I love the attention to intricate details, down to the design of hand-made faucet handles. The opened door-sized windows letting in the fresh Paris summer breeze. As I sat on the window ledge watching life pass by, I wish I could understand the native tongue of the passing pedestrians.
4. Hotel Bel-Ami
6th Arrondissement: Modern luxury in the heart of Saint-Germain-des-Prés
Food and Drink
Relais de l’Entrecôte, they only have one dish there, steak and fries (steak frites) but it’s the best steak ever. Ever.
Remember this dining tip when in Europe.
The line was long the night I wanted to dine. I walked up to the hostess and asked about the wait time. She answered, “Do you want to dine outside or inside?” I responded, “The shortest wait please,” and was seated immediately.
Hotel Bel-Ami: The interior is very cool, from the windows to the stairs, no corner is overlooked. The hotel refers to it as a “loft and design atmosphere.”
5. Le Cinq Codet
7th Arrondissement: The boutiques on the rue de Sèvres, the art and designer galleries of the district form a way of life that the Cinq Codet naturally fits right into. Art is present with a collection of unique contemporary paintings evoking the Rodin Museum located nearby.
6. Castille Paris Hotel
Italian elegance and Parisian haute couture come together in the iconic Castille, close to the Louvre Museum and the Champs Elysées:
I created a fine list of wonderful establishments. I hope you’ll have the opportunity to experience and explore these places. Let me know what you think and be sure to send your recommendations my way, too.
Here’s to a travel-filled 2020! I’m excited to see what adventures await.
Safe journeys, friends …
