Luxury social media tour

This spring, I took a social media tour with six Twitter friends.  I had so much fun taking part in this adventure with old friends and new.  I enjoyed the diversity of the group most of all, as well as the incredible activities our hosts planned for us.  Please note that the @fsscottsdale @WildHorsePassAZ @visitphoenix invited us as their guests for the #PHXJourneys extravaganza.

The luxury social media journey began with a tweet-up at the Four Seasons Hotel (@FSWashington) in Georgetown, D.C., back in November 2011. The D.C. tweet-up, #FSSparty, was so successful, Liliana Baldassari, Director of Public Relations, Four Seasons Hotel in Georgetown, decided to take the social media group on the road for a city to city luxury social media tour.  She collaborated with the Four Seasons Hotel in Scottsdale, Arizona (@FSScottsdale) to set up the highly successful and positively splendid #FSSparty.

Liliana also teamed up with the Sheraton Wild Horse Pass Spa Resort in Phoenix; a desert paradise that offers an authentic representation of the Gila River Indian Community’s heritage and culture, @WildHorsePassAZ.  The Greater Phoenix Convention and Visitors Bureau (@visitphoenix) handled everything associated with the lovely cultural tour for this trip.

The tweet-up organizers invited a group of women — Debra Cincioni, Annie Fitzsimmons, Gina StarkElizabeth Thorp@Ciaobella50, and me — via Twitter to take part in this amazing tour.

Thank you for following us along the way via Twitter, Facebook, Foursquare, and the many other social media platforms.  I created a video of our trip so you can see the fun we had and view some of the lovely sites and adventurous activities the hosts set up for us.

If you need a getaway, a sojourn, or a sabbatical to refresh your spirit and ignite your soul-fire, Phoenix and Scottsdale, Arizona await your arrival. You’ll never think of the desert the same way again after experiencing the exquisite opulence of the resorts and their attentive staff.  You deserve to drink life in ways you never have before – ways that will inspire and renew your inner self.

Where will my next trip take me? Stay tuned…

If I can recommend two great places to visit in Central America:
    1. JW Marriott Guanacaste Resort & SPA ( Front beach luxury resort for families in Costa Rica. Great sunsets and experience.
    2. La Reunion Golf Resorts & Residences. Antigua Guatemala, Guatemala. Pool in your room, and volcanoes in your window. It’s magical.!/lareuniongolfresort

  4. What an amazing trip Ann!!! The embroidered pillowcases are the most incredible thing I’ve ever seen!! Talk about rolling out the red carpet & making you feel right at home!

  5. Looks like a lot of fun. Elizabeth Pizzinato, SVP, Marketing & Communications of Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, gave a great talk at my company (IAB) hosted Internet Week event this week. She provided a good glimpse into the world of luxury properties and social media to engage the target. They’re doing a lot of great things. Hosting a group of top influencers such as yourselves demonstrates their commitment to social!

    1. Hi Susan,

The Four Seasons are on target with tweet-ups. Hope we can attend one together in the future. : )
